Locals have been riding horses on our beach at Palma Sola Bay for over 50 years. In 2006, we were the first outfitter to offer horseback riding on the beach at Palma Sola Bay.

Children as young a 3, seniors, and disabled people have all experienced the BeachHorses. Almost anyone can do this because we have highly-trained horses and a one-to-one student/teach ratio. That's right, with Great World Adventures BeachHorses, you get a highly-trained horse and a highly-trained human with you the entire time.
When your trainer takes you into the water with your horse, she or he will teach you how to do some tricks on the horse.
If you're an experienced rider, you will have control of your horse but if you're a Beginner (fewer than 50 hours of riding instruction), your trainer will have total control of the horse at all times. This is to ensure your personal safety.

Everyone loves our guides. They really know their stuff and they're super friendly. Whatever it take to insure that you have a safe and enjoyable experience, they will hop to it.
We have "highly-trained horses"
Our horse are specially-trained by us. A certified BeachHorse will swim in the bay with a person on their back. Some horses will panic when their feet can't touch bottom. When that happens, you get what we call a Palma Sola Rodeo. We see it all the time when amateurs bring their horses to the bay and try to get them to swim. It takes years of training to turn a regular horse into a Certified BeachHorse.
Most of our horse are registered American Quarter Horses, the most popular horse breed in the United States. We also have a few Paint Horses.
